The role of the HR professional in today's business often needs to balance the mix of business strategy, associated tactics and dealing with the 'nitty-gritty' of HR/employment practice.

In our view and experience, HR often involuntarily spends too much time reinforcing the 'traditional' business approach the 20th century - utilising policies and procedures in a linear and mechanistic way, rather than utilising 21st century thinking - viewing and treating individuals as individuals - in effect in a much more organic way.

Utilising our experience of organisations and embracing some of the future- thinking for HR functions and businesses alike, we have developed a bespoke programme, specifically aimed at the professional developer - whether in a large, medium or small sized business. This approach is designed to develop existing skills and to challenge conventional HR thinking. The key purpose of this programme is to equip the HR Development professionals of today with a much broader skill set, enabling them to become the key drivers of 21st century business thinking for tomorrow.

The Developers' Academy is designed to bring together a group of people from diverse businesses all of whom have a shared interest in helping others grow. Starting with an individually based contracting process, we work to design outcomes of any subsequent development interventions or coaching support. Supplemented by appropriate diagnostics as required, the process builds into an individually based development solution, which is underpinned by some core HR Development skills. Inputs and shared learning takes place with the wider group in short practically based modules.

The core areas covered include:

· Creating the Learning Environment (1day)
· Developing Group Learning Interventions (2 days)
· Facilitation skills (3 days)
· Organisational Change (2 days)
· Coaching for Performance (2 days)
· An Introduction to NLP (1 day)
· Level A or Level B Psychometric training*

* as appropriate

Typically spread over a ten-month period - the modules are supported by individual coaching meetings as agreed at the outset through the contracting process.
